Pascale,
I have been meaning to drop you a note to say Thank You! I have had so much fun swimming with TriFit and the HealthNet Tri. The coaching has been excellent and my swim has greatly improved. Although I have to find that extra gear you found the other night so u cant beat me anymore!!!!!
I have met so many wonderful people that are quickly becoming true friends. Outside of Trifit my friends think I'm a little crazy with working out and Triathlon, but at Trifit I'm just the average Joe. I love being pushed and motivated by everyone and being surrounded with people who enjoy and understand this lifestyle.
I cant express in words what a great experience this has been for me.
Thanks Again!

Hey Pascale,
Your instruction at the pool has been a great help to me and has brought my average swim times down. Thank you for your instruction and arranging the video analysis. I have passed on the word to my racing buddies and you may need a bigger pool for your winter swim class next year. Hope to see you during the season and if I do not best of luck with your other athletes and at Ironman Wisconsin! I will see you at the next winter session.

Hey Pascale,
You are an excellent teacher and very supportive. By the time the weather gets warm I really hope to be ready for the open water.
Thanks again,
Phil, Wilton |
Pascale,
Thanks to you.
Without your encouragement and pushing I would not be motivated to do anything more than stay on the sofa watching tv. Esp in winter. Seriously.
And once i got into the pool and got swimming i loved it.

Ford Ironman Lake Placid 2007
First I wanted to thank Pascale. She trained me in the fall and early winter with strength training and core training along with listening to my constant complaints of back pains due to an old injury. She kept going with pushing me forward towards my goal. In January she guided me to my fastest half marathon in preparation for the IM. Unfortunately, I don't take direction well and didn't always do the run workouts that she scheduled for me. Even though I did my PR for a half marathon I also got severe shin splints as a result. From there you all know I went to FL to work and train and while down there Pascale guided me along through my constant complaints of leg problems. Often she said to me that maybe I should put it of until next year. Even though my runs consisted of maybe 3 miles a week I resisted and said no and I will go in. I think this was Pascale's way of reverse psychology on me to work harder. Right before coming back to CT I had a bout with kidney stones and again Pascale asked me if I wanted to postpone the race until next year and again I resisted. After coming back and complaining about the cold weather Pascale continued to push me along and work with me on my running. I was only two months behind on my running schedule and three months out from Lake Placid. My shin splints still lingered but started to get better. Many of you know my chiropractor Dr. Brett Carr, who mentioned to me that I was one of his worst patients in regards to physical issues and which I mentioned to Pascale, who she also agreed I was one of her most difficult athletes to train. Instead of your normal training of doing 2x100's or tempo riding and running I reduced her to train me by, run 1/2 hour Monday, Bike so many hours Tuesday etc. Pascale persisted to push me forward and encourage me to constantly keep going. The constant pushing and encouragement she had for me in training paid off in a big way on race day. I wanted to make her proud during the Ironman and with all hard hard work and effort I want to give a great big thank you to Pascale for making me into and Ironman Athlete! I could not have done it with out her! |
