Due to an overwhelming response in favor of an all women event, we are recreating our women triathlon and duathlon for ever! Come and join us for a wonderfull all women event at beautiful Shady Beach in Norwalk.
Celebrate health, fitness, new challenges and friendships in a warm all women atmosphere. Stay after the race for breakfast, massages and nice conversations. We will offer a beginners wave with swim angels for all of you who are still a bit scared and worried about the open water experience. We are also working at creating a finisher’s medal for you to keep for ever! Invite your friends, mothers, daughters and have a great fun day at the beach.

Part of the proceeds from the Swim Seventy Triathlon & Duathlon will benefit Swim Seventy's "70 Skills". Swim Seventy is proud to present “70 Skills”, our free water safety program for all first grade students in the area. Swimming is a critical life skill, particularly in our coastal community. Therefore we are committed to providing 10 free water safety classes to all first graders. Through this program, students will learn 70 important skills to help build their ability to have fun safely in and around water.

USA TRIATHLON RULES
USA Triathlon has issued a set of rules to maintain consistency and order from race to race across the country. The rules include sections on membership, and rules of conduct for swimming, cycling, running, and transition. Also included are special sections on protests, hearings and appeals, and rules modifications for physically challenged athletes. There is a no-refund policy for the Triathlon.
Weather Policy :
Races are rain or shine unless we determine that race conditions are dangerous. This will be based on a prudent decision made on race weekend. If the race is cancelled there will be no refunds. This position is consistent with USAT recommendations and with the protocol of sharing the risks associated with the sport of triathlon. In the event of inclement weather, Acts of God, or unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to alter, cancel or eliminate any/all portions of the race. Each athlete must accept any such risk of their entry fee paid including other amenities paid for such as t-shirts, insurance, and online administrative fees. All fees collected are used to develop and produce the event, including all race supplies.
Excellent event today, it was a great race! Trifitness has really helped me build confidence and prepare for races this season, today's race was my 4th tri this summer and I'm looking forward to many more. Thank you for what you are doing for women's participation in sports!
Thank you and the rest of the trifitness team for being so supportive and
really helping me be ready for my first triathlon. It was a great experience
and I felt totally prepared, nothing was unexpected. I went from never
having swum more than 50 meters in open water to being confident about my
abilities in , as promised, 8 weeks. The whole race was great from all the smiling volunteers to the welcoming beach finish. I am already looking forward to next year and hopefully a
bunch in between !
I have been thinking about what to write all day. Today was an amazing experience!!! While I didn't place high in the ranks, you should know that all my legs were much faster and stronger than any training run or bike I had done. The other women were SO encouraging and supportive and everything was wonderful! I can't wait for next year!!! I look forward to winter training with you and I hope to do the triathlon next year. Great job today and THANK YOU!

Today was wonderful! The volunteers & my "fellow" athletes were all great! It was lots of fun! Definitely a very special women's triathlon. The prizes are incredible! I am here from CA. I look forward to participating again next year! Thank you! Take care.
