USA Triathlon Sprint Distance Event

Our goal in creating this event was to make the event a special experience for everyone
who takes part.
We welcome and encourage first time and beginner triathletes
of all ages to enter, as well as top triathletes from all over the country.
The event starts and finishes at Calf Pasture Beach on
the Long Island Sound.
The swim is a triangular course in the Long Island Sound starting and finishing
on Calf Pasture Beach. Estimated water temperature 72º-74ºF. Wetsuits permitted.

The bike route is 2 loops - fairly flat and very fast.

The 5K run is in the park area and is totally flat, fast and scenic.

2004 event was chosen as the
USA Triathlon New England Regional sprint
distance championship event.
The 2005 event was
a part of the New England Junior Triathlon Series with many of the regions top
young athletes competing.
